JACQUELINE HOOPER

Principal Consultant

Jacqueline works with Sara Holder providing Rouse’s IP asset strategy and innovation consultancy services in the UAE. She brings in excess of 20 years’ of specialist IP experience to her role as Principal Consultant.

Jacqueline developed an appreciation for excellence in IP working for a magic circle law firm in London/Hong Kong and later a top 3 firm in Australia. She honed her strategic skills in-house, driving strategy and protection for one of Australia’s top 10 brands and advising a top 100 Forbes Global 2000 company on the rapidly developing IP landscape impacting its fintech. In the UAE Jacqueline developed and implemented the comprehensive global IP Strategy for Dubai’s premier luxury hospitality group.

Having advised internal business teams at blue chips extensively on the identification, capture, management and exploitation of intellectual property Jacqueline recognised the need for start-ups and SMEs to be able to access the same quality of advice but at a much lower cost. To achieve this she adapted online IP asset identification tools for the UAE to help smaller businesses quickly and cheaply identify and protect their key IP assets.

Jacqueline’s blend of practical business intelligence and technical IP expertise makes her a perfect fit for Rouse Consulting. She holds a Masters Degree from Oxford University, an extraordinary full-blue from Oxford University,  postgraduate Diplomas with distinction from the University of Law (UK) and the University of Sydney and is admitted to practice law in the UAE, UK and Australia.

Passionate about sport, she is a dual national and has variously captained both England and Australia’s international women’s polo teams.
